Selma studied Biology and completed her Masters in Medicinal Natural Products and Phytochemistry at UCL in London. She worked for a short while in drug safety before becoming the Editor of Journal of Wound Care (JWC) for over two years. Selma was also the Editorial Director of Wound Central, the sister journal of JWC that was published to the US readership quarterly. She has since worked as a freelance medical Editor, assisting numerous medical journals and authors with layout, sub-editing and proof-reading support.
As Editor-In-Chief, she overlooks the development and progress of the journal, and is committed to maintaining efficient workflow and the publication of consistently high-quality wound care studies that contribute to improving healing outcomes for patients.
Dr. Jagannath Silwal is a biochemist and Principal Scientist with extensive experience in biologics and recombinant therapeutics, specializing in protein biochemistry and purification process development for monoclonal antibodies, vaccines, and other recombinant therapies. He serves on editorial boards for several peer‑reviewed journals, including Elsevier’s Protein Expression and Purification, and is committed to rigorous, reproducible, and translational research. As an Associate Editor, he supports high‑quality, evidence‑based work that advances wound healing and tissue repair through collaborative editorial leadership.
